W. 審譯者: Helen Chang 39 歲的春天 我在住家附近新開的地毯店 購買一個波斯地毯 現在看那地毯時總覺命運的不可思議 因為購買一個地毯 而對伊朗感興趣並經常看伊朗電影 雖然當時喜歡看電影 卻對製作電影的要素一無所知 也未曾想過未來會成為電影製片人 但是為何身為家庭主婦的自己 40 歲開始製作電影 緣自與 10 歲女兒的約定 「我會製作一部由你主演的電影」 因此女兒參加試鏡 出演電影的內容不具說服力 製片公司也資金困難 無法在劇場公開上映 我構想了日本和伊朗兒童主演的電影 我向大日本電影公司推銷企劃 結果所有公司都說 「因為沒原創所以不可能」 「兒童的電影不賣座」 「你缺乏經驗」 都不屑一顧 念及在日本若無經驗就無法製作電影 正想放棄之際 兒童主演的伊朗電影《天堂的孩子》 聽說獲得奧斯卡最佳外語片獎 我想「啊!若是伊朗電影公司 或許即使無名也總有辦法」 次週我便飛往伊朗 (笑聲) 我向有名的伊朗導演表示 「一起製作電影吧」 伊朗導演和日本不同 只問「是怎樣的故事?」 「想製作日本伊朗兒童主演, 以波斯地毯為軸的 一個溫馨的故事」 邊混合手勢說服,結果對方表示 「又好又有趣的故事,就這麼辦」 當場完成暫行契約 付了訂金以後便返回日本 自此便是悲劇的開端 (笑聲) 作為電影製片人的要點是 決定故事架構和電影導演 收集資金和締結契約 導演是伊朗人而資金方面總有辦法 契約方面則十分失敗…
